Updated Global Commercial Vehicle Powertrain Forecast Update Schedule 2021

KGP’s quarterly Commercial Vehicle Powertrain Forecast, a partnership with LMC Automotive Forecasting Q4 2020 is available now.  The forecast, updated quarterly, will be published on the following dates in 2021, with executive summary reports two weeks later:

  • GCVPTF (data): 16th January, 15th April, 16th July and 15th October 2021
  • GCVPTF (executive summary): 30th January, 29th April, 30th July and 29th October 2021

Also to be published in April, the Annual Report will include summaries of market, legislative and technological trends in the Commercial Vehicle Market, plus profiles of major OEMs and markets.

Since its launch in 2005, as the Global Commercial Vehicle Engine Forecast, the service has covered engine, emissions legislation and aftertreatment.  In 2017 xEV – electrification was added, and in 2019 transmissions, evolving the service into the Global Commercial Vehicle Powertrain Forecast.  Currently the forecast includes production volumes and applications for:

  • 3 segments – Heavy Trucks (>16t GVW), Medium Trucks (6-16t GVW), Heavy Bus >6t GVW)
  • 31 countries
