A Review of 2012 and Look Forward to 2013

Monday, February 04, 2013

KGP continued to go from strength to strength through 2012 winning many new customers in a number of key markets. Revenues increased by 25% over our previous financial year and this achievement along with repeat business and new sales pipeline indicates impressive growth for 2013.

The European market, on the back of weakness in the industry, remained fragile although we still completed a number of interesting projects with key European OEMs.

Business growth in North America and Asia-Pacific was strong with significantly increased enquiries and orders.

As a result of our continued growth and 2013 expectations KGP are seeking new research partners especially in Central Europe, South America, India, China and Japan.

A number of interesting new partnerships will be announced later in the year, and KGP looks forward to continuing its successful partnerships with Integer Research, LMC Automotive, Rhein Associates, Rayden Research and Off-Highway Research.

There was a significant interest in Heavy Duty Diesel and Non-Road emissions in 2012 and KGP produced a number of interesting projects on this subject.

Natural Gas also showed promise and will be the subject of a multi-client study during 2013, followed by a study on hybrid commercial vehicles, both of which are currently in progress.

Advanced CV transmissions and their role in meeting future CO2 and fuel economy targets for conventional and hybrid drivelines looks like another hot topic this year.
