Roughly 50% of KGP's business comes in the form of single client commissions. These engagements are usually to assist management in complex and difficult decision making concerned with market, product or manufacturing strategy.

Up to 10% of the business is made up of special reports which, like a recent one on energy storage systems, are published with a partner - Supplier Business in that case.

The remainder of the business comes from group-sponsored projects. Here, a group of clients, often with their own specific areas of interest, will sponsor us to undertake a global programme of research.

The heavy duty engine projects for the on- and off-highway sectors are a good example and are covered in the earlier piece.

Project Ideas
In recent months we have circulated requests to clients, past clients and consultants for  ideas for potential global study subjects. Here for the first time is a list of all the ideas. However please feel free to suggest others.
