The CTI Innovative Transmissions Congress is now a regular event in Berlin. The three days of the congress in December 2007 saw a vast range of developments related to the European light vehicle transmissions.

Brian Knibb, KGP’s managing director, presented one of the papers. It drew on the firm’s regular series of transmissions market an technology research projects over the last 15 years and focused particularly on a scenario forecasting approach.

Complex market, economic and technology options are difficult to handle using normal forecasting models. The KGP approach seeks to manage this complexity and create a model that can easily adapt to different sensitivities.
